TEMPE, Ariz. (June 20) – The 2019 Oracle ITA Summer Circuit powered by UTR opens this weekend as 1,026 players are registered to compete at 11 sites throughout the country. The ITA Summer Circuit is currently made up of 55 events over six consecutive weekends beginning Saturday (June 22) and continuing through the last weekend in July.
The University of Central Florida (Orlando, Fla.), Houghton College (Houghton, N.Y.), University of Massachusetts (Amherst, Mass.), Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, N.C.), University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Ala.), Northwestern University (Chicago, Ill.), University of Louisville (Louisville, Ky.), University of Oklahoma (Norman, Okla.), Abilene Christian University (Abilene, Texas), Chapman University (Orange, Calif.) and University of the Pacific (Stockton, Calif.) will serve as opening weekend sites.
The ITA Summer Circuit was created to provide college players the opportunity to compete in organized events year-round. Although the primary purpose of the circuit is to provide incoming freshman and collegiate players the chance to compete in the summer months, the events are open to all current ITA members.
Individuals are required to purchase a 2019 ITA Summer Playing Membership ($30) that provides them the opportunity to register for a Summer Circuit event.
The ITA office will track points and post a “points race standings” each week on the ITA website. At the conclusion of the circuit, the top five men and top five women will receive automatic entry into the Oracle ITA National Summer Championships as well as a $600 travel reimbursement to be used towards the expense of attending the Oracle ITA National Summer Championships at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. The Oracle ITA National Summer Championships are scheduled for August 9-13 with registration opening July 1. The singles and doubles champions will receive a wild card into the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships, and the finalists will earn a wild card into the qualifying draw (Players receiving wild cards must be returning, NCAA Division I student-athletes). The ITA All-American Championships are slated for Oct. 5-13 in Tulsa, Okla.
ITA Summer Circuit Prize Money Available in 2019
Oracle and the ITA have partnered with nine ITA-member institutions to offer prize money during the 2019 Oracle ITA Summer Circuit. Each prize money designated event listed below will have a total purse of $2,000 to be split evenly between genders.

Week 6 (July 27-29) – Stetson University (DeLand, Fla.)
Week 6 (July 27-29) – Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, Va.)
Week 6 (July 27-29) – Georgia Gwinnett College (Lawrenceville, Ga.)
