Coach, mentor, and recruit female tennis players for a highly academic and competitive, Division III women’s tennis program and support tennis programs with the local community.
Location
Swarthmore College is rated as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. Located in a leafy suburb of Philadelphia, PA, the college has 3 on-campus indoor and 12 outdoor tennis courts.
Swarthmore Women’s Assistant Tennis Coach
This is a part-time position with responsibilities assisting in:
- Planning team practices and individual training sessions
- Recruiting potential student-athletes
- Coaching dual matches and tournaments
- Mentoring a diverse and vibrant roster of student-athletes
- Creating social media content
- Analyzing match and practice videos
The ideal candidate should have at least 2+ years of coaching and a proven ability to teach and interact with a variety of backgrounds, ages, and skill levels. They should have a passion for sport, the Division III philosophy, and player development. The candidate should be a positive, energetic, and trustworthy leader with strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
Multiple additional sources of income include department administrative support, racquet stringing, and teaching youth and adult tennis tennis lesson programs and the Loomis Racquet Academy summer camp.
Total compensation package is 30K+. This position does not support international visas or include health insurance. Applicants will be considered until the position is filled.
