Youth Tennis San Diego Mission: Youth Tennis San Diego is a nonprofit (501)(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to promote the educational, physical, and social development of all youth through organized tennis and educational activities. Our community programs encourage youth participation, personal integrity, leadership, and competitive spirit in a friendly environment that builds responsible citizens.
Be a VISTA at Youth Tennis San Diego
Job Description
- Assist the CEO and Director of After School Tennis (AST) in all aspects of the Youth Tennis San Diego outreach program (administrative, marketing, public relations, and more)
- Assist other team members in relation to outreach and AST
- Assist with initiatives from our various partners (USTA Foundation, USTA, Southern California Tennis Association, ITA, and more)
- Provide analysis and create metrics to further strengthen and develop the Hispanic Heritage and East San Diego Initiatives
- Provide analysis and create metrics (academic, tennis, social/behavioral)
- Volunteer recruitment for AST + Coach recruitment for AST through marketing and promotional projects
- Assist with city and school partnerships, as well with City of San Diego and other city permitting requirements (parks and rec)
- Administrative development of AST field days and competitions off-site and at HQ, Barnes Tennis Center

Weekly Schedule: Tentatively, M-F 9-5 with flexibility when working weekends. Other opportunities to be offered at the Barnes Tennis Center
Housing Provided: No
Ground Transportation Stipend: Yes
Dedicated Workspace Provided: Yes (Barnes Tennis Center)
Monthly Living Allowance: $1850.24
Relocation Stipend: $500 (those living more than 50 miles from organization)
Post Service AmeriCorps Benefit: Education Award of $6,345.00 or a Cash Award of $1800.00
