George Washington University Graduate Assistant Tennis Coach


The George Washington University is accepting applications for one (1) Graduate Assistant for Men’s Tennis. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for The George Washington University Graduate Program of their choosing and be prepared to begin working no later than August 2019. This individual will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in Men’s Tennis in all duties of the program. Duties include, but are not limited to, racquet stringing, recruiting and administrative duties, organizing practices and strength/conditioning sessions, team travel, fundraising, and on court coaching.


Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and should have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and experience as an intercollegiate tennis player and/or coach. Must be willing to work evenings/weekends/holidays and travel with team as required. Valid driver’s license required. All candidates must pass a background check.

As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Atlantic 10 Conference, the George Washington University Department of Athletics and Recreation, and The George Washington University.

International students will be responsible for covering the expenses of the mandatory student health insurance provided through the university. It is approximately $3000 per year.


Stipend of $13,000.00. In addition, individual will receive graduate tuition in the amounts of 9 credit hours for the Fall 2019 semester and 9 credit hours for the Spring 2020 semester, as well as books and fees.

This is a one-year appointment with the opportunity for renewal upon successful performance.
