TEMPE, Ariz. (July 3) – Registration for the 2019 Oracle ITA National Summer Championships Powered by UTR is currently open and runs through July 21. The tournament is scheduled for Aug. 9-13 on the TCU campus in Fort Worth, Texas.

All participants must purchase a 2019 ITA Summer Playing Membership ($30) in order to compete in the National Summer Championships. Participants can only purchase an ITA membership though the ITA website (itatennis.com). Registration includes a $75 entry fee and is limited to the first 128 registrations for both men’s and women’s draws.

Oracle and the ITA have partnered to offer $20,000 in total prize money that will be awarded and split evenly between genders at the ITA National Summer Championships.

This year marks the second season that Oracle and the ITA are awarding prize money at the ITA National Summer Championships. The distribution amounts are as follows: 

Main Draw Singles: Champion ($3,000); Finalist ($1,500); Semifinalists ($750); Quarterfinals ($375)
Main Draw Doubles: Champion ($1,250 split between team); Finalist ($625 split between teams); Quarterfinals ($312.50 split between team)

The singles and doubles champions will receive a wild card into the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships, and the finalists will earn a wild card into the qualifying draw (Players receiving wild cards must be returning NCAA Division I student-athletes). The ITA All-American Championships are slated for Oct. 5-13 in Tulsa, Okla.

Men’s & Women’s Singles Main Draw (64) Announced on Wednesday, July 24)
42 – Automatic Selections based on July 22 UTR Weekly Average
5 – Top 5 in Final ITA Summer Circuit Points Race Standings (Tiebreak goes to highest rated player based on July 29 UTR Weekly Average)
1 – TCU Wild Card
16 – Qualifiers

Men’s & Women’s Singles Qualifying Draw (64) Selections (Announced on Wednesday, July 24)
63 – Automatic Selections based on July 22nd UTR Weekly Average
1 – TCU Wild Card

Men’s & Women’s Doubles Main Draw (32) Selections
31 – Automatic Selections based on combined singles UTR
1 – TCU Wild Card
