TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Monday the preliminary fields for the 2019 Oracle ITA Masters scheduled for Sept. 26-29 at Pepperdine University and the Malibu Racquet Club in Malibu, California.

Created in 2015, the Oracle ITA Masters has established itself as one of the premier events of the collegiate tennis season. The event features a 32-player singles draw for men and women, and unique 32-mixed doubles draw. Players are chosen based upon conference representation.

Highlighting the women’s field, which will showcase four individuals who finished the 2018-19 season ranked among the top 30 in the final Oracle ITA Division I rankings, is Georgia junior Katarina Jokic. The Bulldogs’ standout concluded her sophomore year ranked No. 1 after advancing to the NCAA Championships final and earning NCAA Division I National Player of the Year honors. Jokic will seek a second ITA individual championship after capturing the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships title.

The women’s field also includes No. 7 Alexa Graham (North Carolina), No. 14 Jada Hart (UCLA) and No. 27 Ashley Lahey (Pepperdine).

The men’s field currently boasts five players who finished in the final 2018-19 Oracle ITA Division I rankings top 30. USC junior Daniel Cukierman tops the field after concluding his sophomore campaign ranked No. 21. Columbia’s Jack Lin (No. 22), NC State’s Alexis Galarneau (No. 26), Texas A&M’s Juan Carlos Aguilar (No. 28) and Baylor’s Matias Soto (No. 29) are also scheduled to compete.

The men’s and women’s singles and doubles draws will be announced Sept. 23 after the fields are finalized.

The Oracle ITA Masters marks the first of 13 officially sanctioned collegiate events hosted by the ITA.
