The third annual ITA Community Service Month Sponsored by Limoneira will once again take place during the month of October. The nationwide service project month includes all five collegiate divisions, opens October 1 and runs throughout the month.
“We have been a sponsor of the ITA’s Community Service Month for the past two years and we’ve greatly enjoyed the experience,” Limoneira CEO Harold Edwards said. “It is the perfect vehicle for allowing Limoneira to reinforce messaging that is important to us. Our new Take A Healthy Stand™ educational campaign fits perfectly with the ITA and its goals”.
The ITA Community Service Month presented by Limoneira was created to spotlight all the great work that ITA member coaches and student-athletes do in their respective communities on an annual basis. The Limoneira hours challenge provides friendly competition by tracking the total number of hours that each tennis program commits to service during the month of October.
This year’s prizes include a first-place award of $1,000 plus complimentary registration for the December ITA College Coaches Convention in Naples, Florida. Any team that completes a minimum of 50 hours over the course of the month will be entered into a drawing for $500 and complimentary convention registration. Teams that post footage of their community service projects using #collegetennisserves will also be entered into a separate drawing for $500.
All member coaches received an email on Monday, September 16th with instructions on how to track and submit hours. For further details please contact Dave Mullins.
