Derrick Racine has called Pensacola and the University of West Florida his home for two decades. Needless to say, he has seen great success while coaching the Argonauts. Most recently, he led his men’s team to the semifinals of the inaugural DII National Men’s Team Indoor Championships. In the fall, he saw junior Berta Bonardi repeat as the DII Women’s ITA Cup singles champion.
However, coaching his programs to success is not all Racine is concerned about. With most of his current student-athletes hailing from foreign countries, Racine focuses on nurturing and maintaining West Florida’s family atmosphere.
