College Contenders: University of Michigan

0

Welcome to the second edition of the Cracked Racquets 2020-21 College Contenders, focusing on Michigan tennis.

In this edition, CR takes an extensive look at the Michigan Wolverines who have a very experienced squad returning in 2021. Head Coach Adam Steinberg will be tasked with repeating last season’s fantastic indoor success, but then also transitioning to outdoor tennis and having his guys become more consistent throughout the entire year.

Coming as a surprise to many college tennis fans, the Wolverines made a run to the semifinals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship last February, knocking off #7 Texas A&M and #4 Texas. Michigan always likes to lean on their doubles play, and the guys from Ann Arbor just might have what it takes to make a deep run this spring.

Here is CR’s examination of Michigan’s roster.
