The University of Mary Washington is accepting applications for the 9 month position of Head Women’s Tennis Coach/Lecturer. UMW is a liberal arts and sciences university dedicated to the cultivation of the student athlete model as one of our many high-impact learning practices. The Head Women’s Tennis Coach will be responsible for all facets of the program, including, but not limited to, recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, academic performance of student athletes, overseeing team budget and travel, fundraising, overseeing assistant coaches, practice and match preparation and other duties as assigned. The head coach will also be responsible for teaching courses within the department of Athletics, Health, and Physical Education and is required to be CPR and 1st Aid certified. As members of the teaching faculty, head coaches play a role in service to the College of Arts and Sciences as well as the university.
Required- Completion of Master’s Degree by 8/15/21. CPR and First Aid certified.
Preferred- Experience in college coaching and recruiting in the sport of tennis in Division III.
