University of Missouri – Women’s Tennis Volunteer Assistant Coach


University of Missouri Women’s Tennis is looking to fill our volunteer assistant coach position for Fall 21/Spring 22 Season. We are looking for a player currently on the ITF/ATP/WTA tours or finishing their final season in Division 1 college tennis. We are looking to fill the position by July 5, 2021. The Volunteer Assistant will be allowed to play on the ATP/WTA tour and travel at-will when necessary to keep their ranking and progression in professional tennis viable throughout their coaching stint at Mizzou.


  • Current NCAA D1 player or ITF/WTA/ATP player
  • Ability to work in the USA

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to): 

  • Playing on court for 2-3 hours per day at a high level
  • On court coaching in team practice, individuals, tournaments, and dual matches as needed
  • Racquet Stringing
  • Group fitness with team as needed
  • Travel to individual tournaments in the fall and all dual matches in the spring
  • Adhering to all SEC and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Any other duties assigned by the head coach

The position is unpaid but there is opportunity to earn by teaching at the Mizzou Tennis Complex, alongside clinics and camps. This person will need to be fully self-funded with the want and will to continue in their professional playing or coaching career.
