New Jersey Institute of Technology – Head Women’s Tennis Coach


New Jersey Institute of Technology is a NCAA Division I institution and an associate member of the Southland Conference for Tennis, is accepting applications for a full-time Head Women’s Tennis Coach.  NJIT is located in the University Heights district of Newark, NJ.  The Head Coach will be responsible for directing all aspects of the program including:  the recruitment of qualified student-athletes consistent with the competitive requirements of a DI program and the academic standards of the University; conducting and supervising practices; and the preparation and implementation of match strategies.   Additional responsibilities include: scheduling, budget oversight, supervision of assistant coaches & staff; participation in fundraising, public relations events, and community initiatives.   The Head Coach must be committed to NCAA & University rules compliance.    Other duties include serving on institutional and conference committees and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. 

Essential qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience coaching at the collegiate level. All applications must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, process working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and demonstrate a commitment of student athlete welfare and athletics excellence in a rigorous academic environment.
