Job Description
Mesa Community College (Arizona) Mens and Womens Tennis team is seeking a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the 2021-2022 academic year. Applicants interested in being exposed to multiple aspects of a top collegiate athletic program should apply. This is a part time position with a focus on on-court coaching with travel required for competition. Applicants will have the ability to choose the amount of hours worked each week. It will range from 5-10 hours a week at most.
Job Responsibilities:
- On court coaching at team practices and individual sessions
- On court coaching at tournaments, dual matches and post-season play (September-November & January-May)
- Hitting into practices and individual sessions
- Other duties as assigned by Head Coach
- Volunteer Assistant Coach will work closely as a team with the Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the program.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Demonstrated ability to support student-athletes in their quest to achieve excellence on the court and in the classroom
- Pass a background check
This is an unpaid position.
