Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach


Drake University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach. The assistant coach will be assisting the head women’s tennis coach with planning and execution of all aspects of the tennis programs. This full-time position will include organizing home and away matches, scheduling, transportation, racquet stringing, and managing on-court practice for the team. In addition, the successful candidate will assist with recruiting and fundraising efforts for the program. 


0150%Assist the head women’s tennis coach with individual and team preparations of the physical and mental aspects for the athletes to be their best in practice and in competition.
0210%Organize home and away matches, including transportation, meals, and hotel arrangements.
0310%Assist with recruiting efforts for the women’s tennis program.
0410%Coordinate fundraising opportunities to support the program.
0510%Serve as the liaison to the strength and conditioning coach for the women’s tennis student athletes.
065%Assist with racquet stringing for student athletes.
075%Contribute to a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student athletes within the women’s tennis program, creating a culture of excellence and ethics.
080%All of the duties described above require an understanding of and compliance with the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, the Pioneer Football League, and/or the Summit League, and Drake University.
090%Provide other duties as assigned.
