The USTA and Intercollegiate Tennis Association are excited to announce the recipients of the 2021 USTA and ITA College Coach Opportunity Grant. The grant program was created to provide an additional avenue for select coaches to attend the ITA Coaches Convention. 

“We are always looking for ways to increase and enhance our member experiences. By partnering with the USTA on this initiative, we’re able to open up an additional pathway for select coaches to attend the ITA Coaches Convention,” said ITA Chief Operating Officer, David Mullins. “We are looking forward to welcoming these grant recipients to Las Vegas for the Coaches Convention, and hope they have a great experience.”

The five coaches chosen for the 2021 USTA and ITA College Coach Opportunity Grants are:

  • Karina Ono, Interim Women’s & Men’s Head Coach, SCAD
  • Tayo Bailey-Duvall, Women’s Head Coach, Middle Tennessee State
  • Devonte Thomas, Women’s & Men’s Assistant Coach, Alcorn State
  • Anik Cepeda, Women’s Head Coach, Williams College
  • Beau Fresquez, Interim Women’s Head Coach, Colorado State University-Pueblo

The 2021 ITA Coaches Convention takes place December 3-6 from the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa in Las Vegas. You can find additional information on the Convention here.
