Under administrative direction, provides overall operational and administrative support to the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Programs at Sun Devil Athletics: assist with general Sun Devil Athletics administration projects, research and analysis for both coaching staffs, provide comprehensive studies, analysis for recruiting, team performance, while tracking individual player statistics. Provide in-depth planning for both program’s and run the day-to-day operations of the Whiteman Tennis Facility. Collaborate and work extensively with both Head Tennis coaches and SDA administrators to improve operational efficiency and execution. Ensures compliance with the rules and regulations of NCAA and Pac-12, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the university and the Arizona Board of Regents. Reports to the Head Coach.
Handle the following for both the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis coaches:
- Business Operations
- Event Operations/Leadership role in Ball Kid Program Ops and Training
- Specified recruiting responsibilities
- Community Outreach
- Marketing and Communications
- Arizona State Tennis History Platform
Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year experience in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Evidence of a Masters degree in related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the D1 Tennis landscape.
- Experience handling logistical and operational needs for D1 Tennis program.
- Experience with PAC-12 and NCAA rules.
- Experience handling team and individual travel for D1 Tennis program.
- Experience and skill with ARMS, Workday, and Concur
- Experience working as a team liaison with a D1 collegiate athletics department’s business office to resolve financial discrepancies, including travel and purchase reconciliation.
- Experience coordinating a “Ball Kid” program for a collegiate Tennis program.
- Experience as a staff, volunteer, or student-athlete for a collegiate tennis team.
- Experience with large scale event planning and logistics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of management principles and practices.

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (85%); frequently required to stand and walk to other areas, including outdoors in inclement weather (15%). Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (40%). Ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions. Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.
