Are you looking to improve your tennis skills for the upcoming college tennis season? If so, the 2022 ITA Tennis-Point Summer Circuit powered by Universal Tennis might be the competition you need to up your game.

The ITA created the Summer Circuit for incoming first-year student-athletes and current collegiate players with tournament competition during the summer months. And because the tournaments operate on the Universal Tennis system, all match results contribute towards a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) for each participant. As one of the only national NCAA-compliant series of tournaments offered, the Summer Circuit has kept student-athletes at the peak of their game for numerous years.

However, due to NCAA compliance purposes, the events are categorized as “open,” which means anyone — including high-level juniors and adults — can compete in these events as long as they are a current ITA player member. The ITA Tennis-Point Summer Circuit powered by Universal Tennis is held over six consecutive weekends, beginning in mid-June and continuing through July.

In addition, the Summer Circuit events also serve as a qualifier for the ITA National Summer Championships, showcasing 64 of the top collegiate players from around the country. The 2022 ITA Tennis-Point National Summer Championships by Universal Tennis will take place August 11-16 at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center located on the campus of Florida State University.

Returning NCAA Division I players who win the singles and doubles events at the Summer Championships will receive a wildcard into the main draw of the ITA Men’s & Women’s All-American Championships. Additionally, returning NCAA Division I players who are finalists at the Summer Championships will receive a wildcard into the qualifying round of the All-American Championships.

The Summer Circuit has been one of the most long-standing and successful events for collegiate athletes and high-level juniors on the ITA calendar. The circuit has grown from 35 to 60 tournaments during the past few years while doubling to over 5,000 players.

Signing up for the Summer Circuit is easy:

  1. Purchase a 2022 ITA Player Membership
  2. Plan your summer schedule
  3. Register for tournaments.

Tournament registration will be available one month before the tournament start dates listed on the ITA website.
