Responsibilities Include:

  • Assistant Coach / Women’s Tennis (Primary) for NC A&T Tennis Program coordinates and administers aspects of student-athlete recruitment
  • The incumbent coaches and/or assists with the coaching of one or more subcomponents of the overall program, and assists in all.

Reporting directly to the Head Coach Ansel Dejon Bivens for Women’s Tennis the Assistant Coach /Women’s Tennis for A&T Athletics coordinates and administers aspects of student-athlete recruitment for Women’s Tennis, operating under the appropriate NCAA bylaws.

The incumbent coaches and/or assists with the coaching of one or more subcomponents of the overall program, and assists in all aspects of student-athlete training for athletic competition. NC A&T is an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Colonial Athletics Association (C.A.A.).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with related experience.
  • College coaching experience and/or playing experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations/ Will have to take NCAA Recruiting Test.
  • Working knowledge of individual tennis skills and team systems.
  • Ability to travel, and recruit both international and domestic student athletes.
  • Ability to motivate and instruct student athletes.
  • Commitment to diversity. Strong desire and ability to promote the sport to the general public.
  • Excellent work ethic and communication skills required to recruit high level student athletes and interact with parents and coaches.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Division I coaching and/or playing experience.
  • Division I recruiting experience.

Salary Information: $30,000
