Bryan Morrow | Wayne State University

Division I Men's Wilson Division II Men's ITA National Coach of the Year

Now in his 14th season with Wayne State, Morrow helped the Warriors reach new heights in 2022 as he and his team reached the NCAA National Championship while going 26-5 on the season. The three-time GLIAC Coach of the Year helped guide Wayne State to wins over Barry, Embry-Riddle, and Columbus State this season after going 8-8 in the 2021 season.


ITA Assistant Coach of the Year
Bob Hartwick | Wayne State University

Division I Men's Wilson Division II Men's ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year

Hartwick has been around the Wayne State program nearly his whole life as he played and captained the Warriors in 1984 and 1985. In 2017, Hartwick felt the pull back to the Warriors program and has left his mark ever since. Throughout the 2021-22 season, Hartwick has helped the Warriors put together one of the best seasons in school history. Wayne State earned its highest ITA National Ranking in program history, while also claiming GLIAC regular season and tournament championships.


ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award and ITA Most Improved Senior Award
Ryan Nuno | Azusa Pacific University

Division I Men's Wilson Division II Men's ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership Award

Nuno is a 3-time All-PacWest member including being named to the First-Team this season in both singles and doubles. Has been a First-Team doubles selection twice over his career. As a freshman, he started playing at No. 5 in singles for Azusa Pacific and has improved each year eventually becoming our No. 1 in his senior season and has been a ranked singles player the last two seasons. Nuno has grown as a leader on the team as well, and was named the captain of the team for his senior season. In the classroom, Nuno is an Exercise Science major with a 3.72 cumulative GPA. He was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2020, and has been an Academic All-PacWest member three times in his collegiate career.


ITA Rookie of the Year Award
Jordi Walder | Hawaii Pacific University

Division I Men's Wilson Division II Men's ITA Rookie of the Year

Walder has played in the No. 1 position all year on a team that’s gone 16-2 on the season with a No. 4 national ranking. He holds an 11-1 record and is currently ranked No. 2 nationally in the latest ITA singles rankings. He has recorded multiple top 10 wins throughout the season and In doubles, he’s been ranked as high as No. 5 in the country with a 10-3 record playing at the No. 1 spot. He was named the PacWest Player and Newcomer of the Year.


ITA Senior Player of the Year Award
Juan Ortiz Couder | Embry-Riddle University

Division I Men's Wilson Division II Men's ITA Senior Player of the Year

Playing from the Eagles No. 1 position, Couder achieved an 18-5 singles record from the No. 1 position this season, including wins over Saint Leo, Valdosta State, Barry, Flagler, and Lynn. With his efforts, Couder helped Embry-Riddle achieve its highest team ranking in program history, while he ranked within the Top-20 in both singles and doubles throughout the season. Couder graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA in his Master’s in Software Engineering and maintains a 4.0 GPA while working on his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
