The University of Lynchburg, a private regional university, located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia is seeking a graduate assistant coach to join our men’s and women’s tennis teams.
The graduate assistant reports to, is supervised by, and evaluated by the Director of Tennis. The evaluation of work performance will be ongoing and will be carried out by the Director of Tennis. It will include the specific duties and responsibilities of this position description plus employee attitude and general working behavior.
Job Type: Part-time, ninth-month position. Not benefit eligible
Start Date: August 1, 2022
Job Purpose: To assist the Director of Tennis in all aspects of their respective program.
Specific Job Duties: (Please list below):
● Assist the head coach with related duties that include but are not limited to practice design and implementation, recruiting, scouting reports, and video review. The candidate must have a commitment to upholding the academic and athletic mission of the University. All candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with all members of the campus community. Other job related duties as assigned by the Director of Tennis and Athletic Director.
