Duke University – Men’s Tennis Volunteer Assistant Coach


Position Summary:

Duke University is seeking motivated candidates to apply for the Volunteer Assistant Coaching position for the 2022-2023 season. Preferred candidates have played collegiate tennis at the Division I level, have a strong work ethic, are eager to learn, and be involved with all aspects of one of the top programs. This position will assist the Men’s Tennis program with the organizing, planning, and coaching of the team. 

Start date: August 29th, 2022

Additional Salary Information: Volunteer position. Camp, lesson, tournament, and clinic opportunities are available in the area.


• Bachelor’s degree required

• Prior collegiate tennis experience preferably at the Division I level

Knowledge, Skills, Ability: 

• Ability to work with a diverse population 

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Knowledge of intercollegiate sports operations 

• Ability to work in a highly dynamic and diverse university setting  

Essential Functions: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: directing fall tournaments, assisting with marketing and promotion, and assisting the coaching staff in daily operations and player development while working within the ACC and NCAA rules and regulations.
