Tennessee Wesleyan University, a NAIA school located in Athens, TN and a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. This position is a 9-month part-time for the 2022-2023 school year. Stipend and possibility to earn extra income is available through tennis lessons and clinics. This position is a great opportunity for somebody who would like to get into coaching at the collegiate level. Both teams are top 10 in the NAIA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the head coach with on-court coaching, such as practices, individual lessons, and dual matches.
- Assisting the head coach in organizing and planning all team travel.
- Actively recruit prospective players while adhering to all NAIA regulations and rules.
- Assisting the coaching staff with all day-to-day operations of running competitive NAIA Tennis Programs
- Adhering to all current NAIA rules and regulations.
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous tennis coaching or playing experience.
- Valid ID Drive license
- The candidate should be a U.S Citizen, have OPT or Green Card to work in the US. Tennessee Wesleyan does not sponsor visas.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous collegiate tennis coaching experience.
