Lake Forest College – Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach


Lake Forest College invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. The College is located just north of Chicago, in a vibrant tennis area. The position, which is ideal for someone desiring experience in a Division III collegiate coaching environment, will offer the chosen candidate the opportunity to assist the head coach with a wide variety of coaching duties in order to accomplish the overall goals and objectives of the tennis programs. The nature of the position is such that a considerable amount of evening and weekend work may be necessary. The chosen candidate will demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the Forester athletic department “team” and support the mission, goals, and procedures of the department and the College.

The successful candidate will assist the head coach with practice and meet coaching, recruiting (including off-campus travel to prospective student-athlete competitions), daily administrative operations, strength and conditioning supervision, and other duties as assigned.  Candidates must have strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment while motivating student-athletes, and be insurable to drive College vehicles. 

Bachelor’s degree required with college playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Strong USTA 4.0+ with a solid understanding of strategy and technique also considered.
