With the summer tennis season back in full swing, it is now time to turn attention to the 2022 ITA Tennis-Point National Summer Championships powered by Universal Tennis as registration officially opens today. 

Taking place from August 11th-16th, the National Championship will once again take place at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center located on the campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. 

Once again in 2022, winners of the Summer National Championship Main Draw will receive a wild card into the main draw of the Men’s and Women’s All-American Championships. Only returning Division I players are eligible to receive these wild cards. 

Registration for the 2022 ITA Tennis-Point National Summer Championships will remain open until Sunday, July 31st. All participants must be current ITA Player Members to compete in the National Summer Championships. Once a member, players can visit the National Summer Championships Registration Page to sign up. 

Automatic selections into the main and qualifying draws will be based on UTR Rating, and no participation in the 2022 Summer Circuit is required for participation. Those selected to play will be notified shortly after registration closes.

  • Thursday, August 11th Men’s & Women’s Singles Qualifying (32 draw – Maximum of 2 rounds – with a one-match back draw)
  • Friday, August 12th – Tuesday, August 16th Men’s & Women’s Singles and Doubles Main Draw (64 singles draw with a one-match back draw; 32 doubles draw with single elimination)

Men’s and Women’s Singles Main Draw

  • 49 – Automatic Selections based on UTR
  • 5 – ITA Summer Circuit Points Race Winners
  • 8 – Qualifiers
  • 2 – Florida State Wild Cards

Men’s and Women’s Doubles Main Draw

  • 31 – Automatic Selections based on UTR
  • 1 – Florida State Wild Card

Men’s and Women’s Singles Qualifying Draw

  • 31 – Automatic Selections based on UTR
  • 1 – Florida State Wild Card
