Fairfield University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Coach for Men’s & Women’s Tennis. Fairfield Athletics is committed to providing a championship caliber experience to its student-athletes in all aspects of their education; competitively, academically, and in the community. RESPONSIBILITIES: include but not limited to the following: running day-to-day on-court practices for either the men’s or women’s program, recruiting, academic and personnel support, and all necessary administrative work including management of social media sites as assigned by the Head Tennis Coach. Will work in partnership with the Head Tennis Coach, the strength coaches and trainers to have a health & fitness plan for the the tennis programs. In addition, Associate Head Coach will actively support the breakdown of our own performances via Play Sight technology. They will also have both on and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Fairfield. The coach, will play a key role in the development of our team program culture and identity.
- Bachelor’s required, master’s preferred.
- 2+ years of collegiate coaching experience which incorporates recruiting and on-court coaching duties, preferably at the Division I level.
- Collegiate playing experience
- Knowledgeable of NCAA division 1 rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Play Sight is preferred
- Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic
