TEMPE, AZ – After having great success this past fall with the ITA All-American Championships and National Fall Championships, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is excited to once again partner with Cracked Racquets for streaming at the 2023 ITA Division I Men’s and Women’s National Team Indoor Championships.
Marked as two of the biggest events of the spring season, the ITA Division I Men’s and Women’s National Team Indoor Championships are the culmination of several weeks of play, beginning with the ITA Kickoff Weekend and ending in Chicago and Seattle where two National Champions will be crowned.
Starting with 60 men’s and 60 women’s teams for the ITA Kickoff Weekend, only 32 total teams (16 from each gender) will advance to the National Team Indoor Championships in February. The 2023 Men’s National Team Indoor Championship will be hosted by Illinois in Chicago, while the 2023 Women’s National Team Indoor Championship will be hosted by Washington in Seattle.
College tennis fan favorites Mike Cation and Alex Gruskin will be on the call for Cracked Racquets at the 2023 ITA Men’s National Team Indoor Championships.
Cation brings years of experience as a tennis broadcaster, having covered ATP Tour events and Grand Slam matches for ESPN. Gruskin provides fans with a unique inside look into college tennis with his in-depth knowledge of the sport as Cracked Racquets Editor-in-Chief.
At the 2023 ITA Women’s National Team Indoor Championships, Gruskin will call the action alongside Peri Sheinin.
Sheinin played collegiately at Brown, and since graduating in 2021, has worked in broadcasting while producing the “On The Rise” podcast, part of the Tennis Channel Podcast Network.
During each broadcast, Cracked Racquets will move from match to match to bring viewers the most exciting action from all twelve courts of play.
The 2023 ITA Division I Women’s National Team Indoor Championships coverage begins on Feb. 10 and runs through the championship match on Monday, February 13.
The following week, the 2023 ITA Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championships will begin on Feb. 17 with the championship match being played on Monday, February 20. All of the action will be streamed on the Cracked Racquets YouTube page.
