2023 ITA NATIONAL INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

With four National Team Indoor Championships now complete, sights will now turn to Kearney, Nebraska as eight teams prepare to claim their spot in history at the 2023 ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championship.

Taking place at the Ernest Grundy Tennis Center, play will run from Friday, February 24th thru Sunday, February 26th when a National Team Indoor Champion is crowned.

What Is It

The ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championship is a National Championship that welcomes eight of the top teams from across the country to Kearney, Nebraska to battle it out on a national stage. Now in its fourth year, this event has been won by Barry in 2020 and 2022, while UIndy claimed the title in the 2021 edition.   

Besides the host Nebraska, Kearney, teams qualify for the ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championships through year-end rankings taking the top seven teams from the conclusion of the previous season.


When Is It

The 2023 ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championship will take place from Feb. 24th thru Feb. 26th with the Championship Match being played on Sunday, February 26th.


Where Is It

Hosted by the University of Nebraska Kearney, play from the 2023 ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championships will be held at the Ernest Grundy Tennis Center in Kearney, Nebraska.

Each day will consist of four matches, with match times for each day set for 8:00 am (CT), 11:00 am (CT), 2:30 pm (CT), and 5:30 pm (CT) from the Ernest Grundy Tennis Center.


How To Watch

The University of Nebraska Kearney is set to provide live streaming of the event all weekend long.

The coverage will be streamed through the Nebraska Kearney YouTube Page each day with each individual court having its own stream.

Broadcasts will begin with the first match Friday morning and will continue through the championship match on Sunday.


Event Format

The format for the 2023 ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championships will follow the traditional collegiate format, with teams playing a seven-point format, with doubles accounting for one of the possible seven points, and singles accounting for the remaining six points. 

As a single-elimination tournament, teams will play one match each day with the Championship Match being played on Sunday, February 26th, at 5:30 pm (CT). All teams are guaranteed to play three matches over the weekend through either the main or consolation draw.

The field at the 2023 ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championship includes: Barry (1), Central Oklahoma (2), Saint Leo (3), UIndy (4), Hawaii Pacific (5), Flagler (6), North Georgia (7), and Nebraska Kearney (8).


What Is the Schedule

The schedule for the 2023 ITA Division II Women’s National Team Indoor Championships will see matches go on court at 8:00 am (CT), 11:00 am (CT), 2:30 pm (CT), and 5:30 pm (CT) each day.
