The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is excited to announce the recipients of the 2023 ITA College Coach Opportunity Grant. This grant program was created in 2018 to provide an additional avenue for select coaches to attend the ITA Coaches Convention. 

Now in its fourth year, this grant provides free registration to all recipients as well as a travel stipend that aims to assist minority coaches in their continuing education and networking efforts while bringing a different perspective to the discussions at the convention.

Making up the 2023 ITA College Coach Opportunity Grant Recipients are:

  • Tasi Purcell Batista, Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach, Rollins College
  • Venecca Green, Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach, Lane College
  • Kris Powell, Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach, Illinois Institute of Technology
  • Aymet Uzcategui, Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach, McNeese State University
  • Emily Wang, Head Women’s Tennis Coach, New Mexico State University

The 2023 ITA Coaches Convention will take place from May 17-20 at The Wave Hotel in Lake Nona, Florida. This will be the first year in which the Convention is held alongside the NCAA Championships and more information can be found on the ITA Coaches Convention Website.
