College Tennis Matches of the Week – April 3rd, 2023

TEMPE, AZ – As we enter the final month of the regular season for the 2023 collegiate tennis dual-match season, several teams are still fighting for positions within their conference standings as matches continue to have more and more weight on postseason seeding.

This week, the eight matches of the week include six Top-25 matchups across four levels of play as well as two non-power five contests between schools who all find themselves in the latest ITA Top-75 Computerized Team Rankings.

At the Division I level, there are some marquee matchups coming your way from the Carolina Region. For the Men, No. 21 Duke heads just down the road to Chapel Hill to take on No. 13 North Carolina, while for the Women, No. 7 NC State heads to No. 8 Duke for another high-stakes cross-town ACC matchup.

Meanwhile, two non-power five matches get some shine this week as No. 10 Columbia looks to continue their dominance in the Ivy League when they take on No. 49 Princeton, and on the Women’s side, No. 46 Denver heads to No. 68 Tulsa for a Top-75 non-conference matchup.

From the small college level, there are four top twenty matchups across the NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels.

On the Men’s side, No. 12 Northwest Missouri State will take on the No. 5 ranked team from the NAIA level in William Woods this week, while at the Division III level, No. 10 Gustavus will take on No. 3 CMS for what should be a great battle between two of the top teams in the country.

For the Women, No. 3 MIT is set to take on No. 18 Babson, meanwhile, No. 4 Lynn heads to No. 2 Saint Leo for a matchup with big implications on Sunshine State Conference as well as South Region standings.
