Liz Bothwell Joins ITA Staff as Manager of Division I Women’s Tennis

TEMPE, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Liz Bothwell as the Manager of Division I Women’s Tennis. 

Bothwell joins the ITA staff after establishing an impressive career within the tennis industry, including serving as the Tournaments and Programing Director at the Mobile Tennis Center and, most recently, the Executive Director of the Salina Tennis Alliance.

“I had the great pleasure of working with Liz Bothwell during this year’s inaugural ITA NAIA Indoor Championship in Kansas City,” stated ITA COO, Dave Mullins. “She demonstrated leadership, poise, and a strong work ethic throughout the event. Liz possesses a deep passion for the sport of tennis and will be an outstanding addition to our hard-working team at the ITA.”

During her time at the Mobile Tennis Center, Bothwell was the director for tournament bidding, selection, and execution of more than 30 tournaments per year, accounting for a total economic impact of more than $50 million in the City of Mobile.

Graduating from the University of South Alabama in 2020, Bothwell has been rooted in the tennis community since 2015 and will look to continue to increase her impact on the sport within her new role with the ITA as Manager of Division I Women’s Tennis. 

“I am incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to join the ITA team,” proclaimed Bothwell. “Tennis has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and I am thrilled to be able to bring my skills and experience to such a dynamic and exciting organization. I would like to thank the entire ITA team for this opportunity, and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the ITA and collegiate tennis as a whole.”
