Position Title: 

Associate Head Coach, Men’s Tennis 

Job Description: 

The Associate Coach, Men’s Tennis reports to the Director of Tennis/Head Men’s Tennis Coach and is responsible for all aspects of the University of Tulsa’s NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Program. This position will perform as a positive role model for student-athletes in an upbeat environment which strives for academic and athletic excellence and will establish a professional relationship with student athletes, staff, alumni, and the general public in an effort to promote the university, and its athletics program. 

Specific duties:  

Assist the Director of Tennis/Head Men’s Tennis Coach in the recruitment of highly skilled student athletes for the men’s tennis team, including the ability to recruit prospective student-athletes (PSAs)  both domestically and internationally; Responsible for coordinating all team travel for the men’s tennis  team; Responsible for assisting the Director of Tennis/Head Men’s Tennis Coach with the overall  management of program including operations, travel, recruiting, equipment, coaching, and team  operating budget; Assist in marketing and promotion of the university’s men’s tennis program; Assist in  fundraising for the men’s tennis program; Develop and implement programs to assist student-athletes in  their transition to the collegiate environment; Assist in the coordination and management of home  tennis matches/tournaments; Assist in the development of student-athletes; Assist in the daily  preparation and coordination of team practices; Perform necessary administrative duties as assigned by  the Director of Tennis/Head Men’s Tennis Coach 

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree; must have demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; excellent and  demonstrated communication and organizational skills.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with student-athletes, faculty, coaches, and administrators. Physical Demands, Minimal to Moderate Physical Demands.
