JTCC is a 501(c3) nonprofit and 4-star NJTL chapter serving the District of Columbia Metropolitan area. In the past 20 years, the nonprofit has served more than 5,000 children from local communities with free tennis programming and academic instruction. At JTCC we recognize that tennis provides a path to college, and that mentoring and education in economically disadvantaged communities will put children on a path towards personal and professional success. JTCC is a national model for student-athlete achievement with alumni earning over $20 million in college scholarships and financial aid. JTCC also provides instruction and mentorship programs for Special Olympics Maryland, wheelchair tennis, and military veterans.

Job Description

  • Business Development
    • Maintain attendance records of youth enrolled in Community programs., which usually number around 1,000 each year
    • Maintain communication with community site staff and Community Outreach Manager regarding progress of the program
    • Select 40-60 youth to receive scholarships to train at JTCC Phase 2 program, three times per year – November 2021/May & July 2022
    • Assist in the creation of at least 5 grant proposals by the end of the year to various donors and foundations to generate revenue for programs
    • Assist, coach, and supervise Special Olympics, ThanksUSA (JTCC’s military veterans mentorship program), and Wheelchair Tennis programs, along with being involved in fundraising aspects
    • Maintain records of current community engagement of JTCC athletes and survey 300+ JTCC athletes on athletic/academic progress
    • Assist FILA representative including pro shop updates, sales strategies and inventory
    • Coach up to 10 hours per week in a variety of programs including ROGY (Red, Orange, Green, Yellow Ball), Neighborhood Impact, Special Olympics, ThanksUSA, Wheelchair Tennis, and Tennis Festivals
  • Marketing
    • Capture and organize video content for use on all JTCC social media platforms
    • Assist the Marketing Manager to design, implement and maintain website communications plan
    • Assist in the ongoing creation of JTCC’s style and branding guide, to be completed by the end of the summer
    • Assist in the ongoing process of remodeling and streamlining JTCC’s website, with responsibilities including the creation new content and vendor communication
    • Assist in the preparation and oversight of JTCCs annual fundraising gala, which occurs in September and raises more than $300,000 every year for community programs and financial aid for student-athletes
    • Assist with creating and editing content for the JTCC podcast and JTCC newsletter
    • Assist with creating promotional materials for various JTCC programs and events

Monthly Living Allowance: $1583.40
Relocation Stipend: 
$750 (those living more than 50 miles from organization)
