TEMPE, Ariz. (November 13) – Pepperdine senior Ashley Lahey and junior Daniel Cukierman of USC finished atop the final 2019 Oracle ITA Division I National Fall Rankings that were announced Wednesday.

The North Carolina State duo of Alana Smith and Anna Rogers concluded the fall atop the women’s doubles rankings, while Oklahoma State’s Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky are the top pair on the men’s side.

Lahey, who was No. 14 in the preseason rankings, posted a 16-0 singles record en route to winning all three tournament titles in which she competed. The Waves’ senior opened her fall by capturing the Oracle ITA Masters then went on to win the Women’s Collegiate Invitational and Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships

Included among Lahey’s victories were 10 wins over top 50-ranked players. She defeated No. 9 Jada Hart of UCLA to win the Oracle ITA Masters and recorded her second victory of the fall over No. 4 Alexa Graham (North Carolina) to claim the ITA All-American Championships.

Lahey was twice named the UTR/ITA National Player of the Month, earning the accolade for her September and October performances.

Cukierman, who began the spring No. 8, opened his fall season by winning the Oracle ITA Masters title after defeating UCLA’s and No. 20 Keegan Smith in the finals. Earlier in the tournament, Cukierman recorded a win over No. 9 Jack Lin (Columbia).

The Trojans’ junior posted a 12-1 overall record, including wins over four top 50 opponents. Cukierman’s lone loss came to Texas A&M’s Valentin Vacherot (No. 3 in final rankings) in the quarterfinals of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.

The Wolfpack doubles tandem of Smith and Rogers posted a 13-2 overall record and won the ITA Carolina Regional title. The duo reached the finals of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships where it fell to the UCLA and No. 4 ranked team of Elysia Bolton and Jada Hart. Smith and Rogers posted four wins over top 30 teams.

Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky recorded an 8-1 overall record and capped the fall by winning the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. The Cowboys’ duo defeated five top 50-ranked opponents.

The collegiate season resumes in January with the ITA Kickoff Weekend (Jan. 24-27) at campus sites. The event marks the opening of the team dual match season.
