The ITA announces a multi-year agreement with SwingVision as the Official Player and Ball Tracking App of the ITA.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and SwingVision are pleased to announce a new partnership whereby SwingVision will be recognized as the Official Player and Ball Tracking App of the ITA.
SwingVision offers real-time shot tracking and video analysis using a single iOS device and has committed to serving college tennis programs through collaboration with the ITA. SwingVision’s proprietary A.I. provides automated shot tracking, video analysis and live streaming all from just a single iPhone or iPad.
Featured in Apple’s April 2021 iPad Keynote event and recognized as the Official Player and Ball Tracking App of the LTA and Tennis Australia, SwingVision was founded by A.I. experts from Apple and Tesla and its early investors include former ATP pros Andy Roddick and James Blake.
“In a world driven by technology, the ITA is pleased to be a leader in promoting innovative sports applications that help our coaches advance and elevate college tennis,” said ITA CEO Dr. Timothy Russell.
In partnering with the ITA, SwingVision will work closely with ITA members so they can utilize its proprietary A.I. for coaching and streaming purposes. To celebrate the launch of this partnership, SwingVision will be providing all college programs that sign up before October 1, 2021, a 50% discount off their first two years with SwingVision.
“SwingVision’s A.I. turns your smartphone or tablet into a personal tennis coach and streaming platform that you can bring with you to any court — whether you’re playing at home or on the road,” SwingVision CEO Swupnil Sahai said.
“This comprehensive, portable solution will elevate the college tennis experience by making the sport more fun and accessible than ever before. We’re delighted to partner with Tim and the rest of the innovative team at the ITA, and can’t wait to get SwingVision on every campus across America.”
Real-time shot tracking, video analysis and streaming affect every facet of college tennis including the ability to train smarter, engage fans and attract recruits. With the addition of SwingVision as an ITA partner, college tennis programs around the country will have access to an upgraded player, team and fan experience.
SwingVision’s proprietary A.I. also provides line calling functionality from a single iPhone or iPad. While this technology has not yet been approved by the ITA for official use during college tennis matches, the ITA and SwingVision will continue to work together towards the goal of providing line calling A.I. that will help make the college tennis experience more fair and fun for everyone involved.
