Texas Remains Atop Division I Women’s ITA Collegiate Tennis Top 25 Coaches Poll

As 60 of the top Division I women’s teams prepare to compete in the 2022 ITA Kickoff Weekend, the ITA released the latest ITA College Tennis Division I Women’s Top 25 Coaches Poll on January 26.

For the third consecutive release, Texas sits atop the coaches poll. The Longhorns host Florida Atlantic, Rice and SMU for their Kickoff Weekend regional. The winner of the single-elimination, four-team tournament advances to the 2022 ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championship in Madison, Wisconsin.

California jumped up from No. 9 to a tie at No. 4 with another Pac-12 school, UCLA. The Golden Bears topped previous No. 2 Pepperdine 4-3 on the road in Malibu, California, last week. In the Berkeley, California, region, California faces BYU, while Vanderbilt meets San Diego.

UCF moved up a spot from last week and into the Top 10 at No. 10, while Oklahoma State entered the rankings for the first time in 2022 at No. 24.

The ACC continues to lead all conferences with seven teams (North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, NC State, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Miami) ranked in the Top 25.

The ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the ITA National Ranking Committee. The National Ranking Committee is made up of the 12 ITA Region Chairs, with each chair casting an individual, secret ballot.
