The Athletic Department at Endicott College is seeking an enthusiastic, inspirational and engaging Assistant Coach for the Men’s Tennis team. Under the supervision of the Head Coach, the part-time assistant will assist in all aspects of the NCAA Division III tennis program. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and communication skills; demonstrate a philosophy that emphasizes academic priorities for student-athletes, as well as a commitment to the growth of a diverse community, and alumni base. This individual must embrace the importance of being a visible and engaging leader that has the capacity to work as a team player within the department and College. This position requires a 10-15 hour per week commitment.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Head Coach with; recruiting, team travel, scouting, practice and game preparation.
- Assist the Head Coach in conducting the program within the Mission of the College and Department.
- Ability to take charge of practices and matches if Head Coach is unable to.
- Assist in workouts and conditioning exercises.
- Assist in equipment, supplies and transportation requests.
- Opportunity to assist with Women’s Team in many of the above capacities also an option
Qualifications include:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- Successful experience coaching and recruiting at the college level
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
